Hyde Park Winter Wonderland
For a fun day out, look no further than Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland. This is one of the best family Christmas events of 2021, but it also makes for a great experience with friends or a date.
At Winter Wonderland there are multiple activities on offer, so there’s something for everyone. Make a visit to Circus Town for some amusement, Santa Land to see Father Christmas or even go to the Bavarian Village for a taste of Germany. You can also visit the traditional funfair, Christmas markets, and go ice-skating – all in Hyde Park!
To visit Winter Wonderland, you must pre-book. Winter Wonderland opened on 18 November 2021 and runs until 3 January 2022.
Christmas Markets 2021
A Christmas market trip is the perfect way to kick off your London Christmas outing in 2021.
Southbank Centre Winter Market
Visit the Southbank Centre Winter Market to see the South Bank transformed with twinkling lights and market stalls selling delicious seasonal treats. Make your way to the Queen’s Walk for a lovely Thames-side stroll, and great food and drink, until Christmas Eve this year.

Selfridges Christmas Market on the Mews
Selfridge’s Christmas Market is back for a second year, and better than ever. There will be food and drink vendors, a Selfridges selection of foods, Christmas trees to buy, and you can even get a customised wreath from Your London Florist.

Christmas Lights London 2021-2022
The London Christmas light displays are a free and fun attraction for all to enjoy.
Carnaby Street Christmas Lights 2021
Make your way to vibrant Carnaby Street to see 600 neon butterflies in a mix of 2D and 3D designs. The lights have been designed in collaboration with the charity Choose Love, to raise awareness for refugees around the world.

Chelsea Christmas Lights 2021
If you’re in central London, you should make your way to Chelsea to enjoy the Christmas lights, amongst the shopping, food and culture.

Covent Garden Christmas Lights 2021
Covent Garden remains one of the most monumental Christmas Lights displays in London. Not only is the central building decked out in 115,000 lights, but there will be a 60ft Christmas tree, decorated with an impressive 30,000 festive lights.

Kew Gardens Christmas Lights 2021
If you’re a fan of the Royal Botanical Gardens, you’ll love it when it’s aglow with festive lights. Not only can you see the lights, but you can embark upon the winter lights trail with family and friends, see the dancing waterside reflections, and eventually end at the panoramic Palm House display. You can also pay a visit to Father Christmas on your magical winter evening at Kew Gardens.

Oxford Street Christmas Lights
If you’re already planning to buy your Christmas presents at London’s most loved street for shopping, why not stay for the Christmas lights? In 2020, the street was adorned with 222,000 LED lights dedicated to the citizens of London during a difficult year. Oxford Street has pulled out all the stops yet again, with a beautiful light installation display in the form of stars and peacock motifs.

Regent Street Christmas Lights 2021
Located in the heart of London’s west end, Regent Street never shies away from an elaborate display. This year, lights will continue from Oxford Circus, through to St James and Waterloo Place. Make sure to see the handcrafted display of 300,000 LED lights in the shape of 45 spirit displays.
